Spicy Butcher Box Pork Curry Another delicious recipe brought to you by AMP Meats


  1. Wash the meat with water, drain and place it in paper towels. Pat dry the meat. Sprinkle some salt.
  2. In a pot add 2 tablespoon of oil. Heat to medium high. Add your Butcher Box Pork and cook each side until it turns golden brown. Remove the meat from the pot and put on a separate plate.
  3. In the same pot add 2 tablespoon of oil. Add onion. Fry until golden brown. Once the onion is golden reduce the heat to medium low.
  4. Add bay or curry leaves, turmeric, ginger, garlic. Cook for 2 minutes. Add cumin, curry, coriander and chilly powder.
  5. Add tomatoes and cook until everything is mixed well (Takes about 5 minutes). Add meat back into the pot. Add some more salt and cook for few minutes.
  6. Add water until the meat is below water. Put the lid on. Increase heat until the water starts boiling. Once the water starts boiling reduce the heat and let it cook for 20 minutes (For more tender meat cook for longer period on low heat).
  7. Garnish with cilantro, spring onion and green chilly to serve.
  8. This can be served with Naan or Rice.


  • 1kg Butcher Box pork, cut into strips
  • 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 tbsps vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • ¼ tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • ½ tbsp red chilly powder
  • ½ tbsp coriander powder
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp salt, adjust according to taste
  • 500ml water
  • fresh Cilantro, for garnish
  • Spring onion
